Hey everyone, I’m Kate and I love traveling with my kids!
I decided to start writing about my adventures since people always ask me about my trips or advice on itinerary, traveling with kids etc. I am fortunate to grow up with a family that traveled. When I was a Junior in college, I interned for a company in London, England. This is where I fell in love with exploring new destinations, culture and of course food.
I feel like traveling can bring people together. I still remember when my husband and I were dating back in 2009, we randomly decided to go to Mexico 6 months into our relationship. I can say now that was when I knew I wanted to be his wife. The fact that I could be with someone for a week and not get sick of them was pretty telling.
During the first few years of marriage, we traveled as much as we could. We kicked off our marriage with a 2-week trip to Thailand. Before this trip, I contacted a travel agent for some help. They did such a poor job from the start that I took it into my own hands and planned the entire trip. Since Thailand, we have been to Australia, Fiji, Spain, Portugal, Colombia, Panama, Belize and most recently Turks and Caicos.
I spent 11 months planning our Spain/Portugal trip and 3 weeks before we left…. Bam. Positive pregnancy test. Now we are traveling with our 2 young children. Margaret is 3 and Weezie is 1! Weezie was born 3 weeks before the Covid shutdown so unfortunately, she has not been able to explore the world as much as I had hoped. We love traveling with the kids, even if they are strapped onto our backs during a long hike. During the times I am not traveling, I am constantly researching and planning our next adventures here in Fort Worth, TX. Being close to DFW airport has its perks for a travel nut like me!
